Help Husna raise money

Salam!

I hate running. Like absolutely abhor it. Turns out there is something I actually hate more than running, and that is when intentional harm is brought upon innocent children. I truly believe that each child on this earth has the right to safety, security, food, water, shelter, education and endless love from their family and community. Knowing that there are children in Palestine who have not only been stripped of these rights, but have also had inaccurate narratives of themselves pushed in the media is enough to make me lace up my sneakers EARLY on a Saturday morning and race alongside my fellow Clevelanders. 

I will be running to raise funds for Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF). PCRF was established in the United States in the early 1990's by concerned citizens who aimed to provide free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system.  Over the years, they have sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get.  

Money raised from this race will be used to provide prosthetic services to the children Gaza. According to an article an Al Jazeera article from March 2024, "the World Health Organization stated that as of September 2024, 22,500 people in Gaza had sustained life-altering injuries since October 7, 2023, including severe limb injuries, amputations, spinal cord trauma, traumatic brain injuries and major burns." The hospitals in Gaza have been destroyed, leaving facilities that are unable to care for their young amputees. The people of Palestine are a resilient people, but it is up to us to the little that we can to uplift them. Please join me in donating funds for a worthy cause.
