Mini Tri Practice - You don't need to be "ready" for this class. This is what will help you get ready and help you better understand how to train and practice on your own. You'll practice putting together all the components of triathlon with minimal distance and time. Swim 20-200m, bike 3mi, run .1-.5mi. Most importantly practice using all your gear and transition smoothly!
T2 Workout - Transition 2: bike to run. This is a Brick workout where you train your body to be able to run after biking. There are techniques and strategies to making this smoother. In this class you'll do 2-4 Bricks for a total workout time of 60-90min. The rest of the time is instruction or recovery. Take this class once, or multiple times to gain more fitness and skill in preparation for any triathlon.
Open Water Swim Skills - Take this class as soon as you can! You'll learn techniques to practice all summer long. We start on land talking about rules, gear, and techniques. Then shallow water short distance practice followed by challenge swim to put it all together. Lastly we'll practice entering and exiting the way you'll want to do it on race day!
Swim Practice - Get a lake swim workout with tips and feedback from a coach. All distances and abilities welcome. Novice swimmers can stick to short shallow water practice. Experiences swimmers can challenge themselves to go longer and faster.
Tri Skills - Take this class ASAP! Learn everything you'll need to be practicing all summer. We'll start with bike skills for safety, efficiency, and speed. Transitions are the most complicated and we'll break down the rules and your options then you'll have time to practice a few times. We'll briefly discuss swim and run strategies before you have a chance to put it all together.
Bike Course Preview - Guided group tour of the YWCA Women's Triathlon bike course. This is done as a group bike ride so a functioning bike and helmet will be required. It does not have to be the bike you will be using for the race. Swim and run courses will be discussed at the end of this class.
