Welcome to Australia’s freshest and naturally stunning ultra running event, traversing the Myall Lakes region of the Barrington Coast. In the LAKES Trail Festival runners can complete 100km, 70km, 50km or 30km. There is a 12km course for those wanting a shorter trail experience and a special 1km kids run. The race will start and finish in Hawks Nest taking runners along beaches, past lakes and through forests, tracking some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the Australia. The 100k has the arguably the most beautiful half way point in Australia in Seal Rocks, taking runners past the iconic lighthouse.
Each course follows existing tracks and trails, beaches, lake edges and single track capturing what makes this part of the coast so special
Race weekend starts with rego on Friday 4 July and racing starting on Saturday 5 July 2025 – this is a great time of year to go for a run. Temperature wise it will be cool at night but mild during the day and most likely dry – perfect running weather.
