Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host its 19th Annual 5K Run/Walk on February 8, 2025 at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA. The purpose of the run is to raise money for charity causes selected by both groups, Guns & Hoses. The charity for Cherokee Sheriff's Office (Guns) is the Charlie Ferguson Community Center which stands as a symbol of the power of volunteerism and community engagement. Formerly a volunteer fire station, this center provides after-school programs, senior activities, events, and other flexible functions. They are located at 1398 Reinhardt College Parkway, Canton. The charity for the Cherokee County Fire Department (Hoses) is the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, which is a non-profit home serving young men in the state foster care system. When registering, the runner will select the team that they want to represent, and a portion of their registration fee will go towards their chosen charity.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash!
The Guns & Hoses 5K is a certified race for The Atlanta Journal & Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: We will be offering Day of Registration at the event. Please arrive at Hobgood Park with enough time to register and warm up before the race start time at 8:00 am. Registration will start at 7:00 am.
You will get a packet filled with your chosen t-shirt while supplies last, running bib, and other goodies.

If picking up on race day, please allow enough time to get your packet, warm up, etc. before the race start time at 8:00 am. If you register after 5:00 pm on Friday the 7th, you will have to go to the Day of Registration table at Hobgood Park to be assigned a bib number.
If picking up at the Recreation Center, please come inside the lobby and our front desk staff will get your packet for you in no time! We will not be shipping race packets.
