Overall, Masters Overall, Grandmasters Overall, and Senior Masters will be presented in the 10K Run and 5K Walk; male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for 10K Run and 5K Walk in the following age groups:

19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over

One Mile Fun Run

Overall male and female awards will be presented. First 100 finishers are guaranteed a medal.

The Vicksburg Run Thru History 10K run, 5K race walk, and Cannonball Run 1 Miler courses are entirely within the boundaries of the Vicksburg National Military Park (VNMP.) These courses follow the opposite direction of travel as the park tour road. The 10K run will start at 8:00 a.m., the 5K race walk will start at 8:05 a.m., and the Cannonball Run 1 Miler will start at 9:30 a.m. The finish line for all races is located at the same location in front of the VNMP Visitor's Center. USA Track & Field (USATF) race course certification is pending.

10K RUN COURSE

The Vicksburg Run Thru History 10K (6.2 mile) run starting line is located near the VNMP Visitor's Center. The course begins on Confederate Avenue going toward the Louisiana Monument then turns right onto Pemberton Avenue. At the dead-end, turn right onto Union Avenue and continue through the Arch. The course turns left toward the South Loop by going under Clay Street where the course follows the flow of traffic. After completing the South Loop, a right turn will lead you behind the Visitor's Center reconnecting to Union Avenue. Turn right onto Union Avenue and climb the hill through the Arch to the finish line.

5K WALK COURSE

The 5K walking course begins near the VNMP Visitor's Center and takes you up Louisiana Hill to the Louisiana Monument. There is a right turn onto Pemberton Avenue then a right turn onto Union Avenue. Take the next paved road on the right just after the bridge for a short out and back. Turn right onto Union Avenue where the course will go under the Arch and to the finish line.
