The annual McDonald's Running Festival incorporates the Townsville Airport Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 7 News 10km Classic, the McDonald's 2.5km Hero Run, the Townsville Bulletin 5km Junior Run, the Queensland Country Bank 5km Corporate Challenge, the Kennards 5km Fun Run and the KX Marathon Relay. 

An event that captures the hearts and enthusiasm of all ages, the McDonald's Townsville Running Festival also gives back to our local community, generously supporting the almost 4,100 North Australian children who's families call upon Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) North Australia, every single year.

About Our Chapter

Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia opened our, state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald House adjacent to Townsville Hospital in 2004, offering a safe place to stay for over 100 people a night. Through our accommodation and support services, we strive to keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness.

Our Programs are run by a tirelessly hard-working team of staff and volunteers, aided by the generous support of our donors, sponsors, corporate partners and the local community.
