Bib Pick Up
Early Bib Pick Up Details
- Fleet Feet Minneapolis, 2312 W. 50th St. Minneapolis, MN
- Friday, September 5th between 11:30 am - 7:00 pm
- Saturday, September 6th between 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Race Day Morning (Sunday, September 7th)
- Limited pickup available near the Finish line 6:45 am - 7:45 am. Please note the race day pickup location is DIFFERENT this year. People picking up their bibs on race day will need to walk 15 minutes from the Finish area to the start. We strongly encourage pick up on Friday or Saturday to avoid long lines.
Race Day Details
- Race Date: Sunday, September 7
- Start Location: Beard's Plaisance, Lake Harriet Parkway, Minneapolis
- Start Time: 8:00 am
- Start Instructions: Elite, Competitive Age Group, and USATF Team Circuit runners should line up closest to the start. Awards are based on Gun Time. All other participants should line up for the start along Harriet Parkway based on their estimated finish time. This race is chip timed.
- Gear Drop: This year, gear drop is at the Finish area near the Lake Harriet Bandshell which is DIFFERENT this year. Please bring your own bag labeled with your name and bib number.
- Finish Location: The race finishes near the Lake Harriet Bandshell on West Lake Harriet Parkway.
- Parking: Parking is very limited. The Parkway will be closed down after 7:00 am. Parking in the neighborhoods west of Lake Harriet is often the best area. Arrive early and give yourself time to get to the start area.

Course Info & Logistics
Hydration
We're pleased to be offering Propel as hydration this year on the course and in the finish area. Propel is made by the same company as Gatorade and contains the same electrolytes. Propel does not contain sugar or carbs.
We will not provide gels on the course. Runners will need to bring their own.
Hydration & Aid Stations
South Harriet Beach: Miles 1 & 7.5
William Berry Parkway: Miles 2.5, 6, 9, 12.5
East Bde Maka Ska: Miles 3.75, 10
Hydration stations will be using organic compostable cups. Please help us with the organics collection by making sure trash doesn't end up mixed in.
Pacers
The Lost Dog Pacers will be there to help you reach your goal time! The goal finishing times are: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00.
Splits
The City of Lakes Half Marathon is USATF certified. There is also a USATF certified 10 mile split.
Weather Information
This race utilizes the EAS (Emergency Alert System) encompassing a color-coded system to reveal live race conditions. Participants will notice flags posted throughout the race venue, at the start, at the finish line, and at each aid station on race day. In additional, EAS updates will be communicated through PA announcements, social media, web posts, and/or dedicated emails.
Spectators
The City of Lakes Half Marathon is spectator friendly! A great section of the course to cheer from is William Berry Parkway. Runners pass through this section 4 times and the finish area is close by. Finish line spectating is available along the entire finish chute. There are flags and fencing that spectators must stay behind. Volunteer and Race Management will be in the area to facilitate traffic flow and maintain safety on the course.

Snacks in the Finish Area
Water, chips, bananas, Great Harvest oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and fruit snacks await all finishers. People who registered for VIP will receive additional catered food and be able to enjoy local beer. Not a VIP? Upgrade today.
Photos
Any photos taken of you by our photographers on race day will be available to download for free. You will receive an email after the race when these photos are available. Make sure your bib number is easily visible so you can find your photos from the City of Lakes.
Swag
All participants will receive:
- Collectible City of Lakes pint glass after the finish of the race
- Swag bag from Westin Edina Galleria
- Complimentary race day photos
- Propel hydration including a bottle and powder samples to use on your next run
- Finisher cookie from Great Harvest
Early Registration Hat & Merchandise
Those who registered by May 1st will be able to get their early registration gift, a City of Lakes Boco Hat, at bib pick up or after the race at the Run Minnesota tent in the finish area. The hats are an exclusive gift to people who registered early. You will know if you received a hat because you will receive an email reminding you to pick it up. You will not be able to get your hat if you do not pick it up at early packet pick up or at the race.
Merchandise
You can order official City of Lakes merchandise online and have it shipped directly to your house. You can shop the merchandise here. There will be a limited number of shirts available for purchase at Fleet Feet during packet pickup and in the Merchandise tent at the race. These will go quickly, so make sure to stop and shop early.
We will also have items from our newly launched Gbaoso collection for sale in the merchandise tent. You can shop the full Gbaoso collection here and have it shipped directly to your house.
Prizes & Age Group Awards
Prize Money
Top finishers in each category will receive prize money. The categories are Men, Women & Non-Binary.
1st - $300
2nd - $200
3rd - $100
$100 will be awarded for any new Minnesota single-age record in the half marathon. This is paid by check and mailed.
Age Group Awards
Fleet Feet sponsors the Age Group Awards. The top two in each age group will receive $15 gift cards.
City of Lakes Age Groups: 19 & Under, 20 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80 - 84, 85 - 90.
All awards are based on Gun Time per USATF rules.
USATF Team Circuit Prize
The USATF Team Circuit Prize Money is awarded by USATF MN.
