Volunteers Needed
True Grit volunteers are the first face thousands of participants see. True Grit volunteers are the backbone of making the event run smoothly for all.
Remember, if you’re up for it you can run for FREE* on the other day of the same event weekend!
If you volunteer for True Grit, you can run the course for FREE*.
Therefore, if you volunteer on:
- Saturday, you can run for free on Sunday in any wave start time.
- Sunday, you can run for free on Saturday (you need to register and pay, we then simply reimburse you after your volunteer shift on Sunday).
- *A non-refundable admin fee will apply to all registrations & volunteering.
WHAT YOU DO
ROLE:
Obstacle Marshals: Be the ultimate cheerleader and motivator for our participants as they tackle the course packed with 30 obstacles! You’ll not only provide encouragement but also share tips and techniques to help them overcome the challenge.
As a True Grit volunteer, you’ll embody the same spirit of determination and resilience as our participants. With an early start at 6:45am, we’re looking for passionate, team-oriented individuals who are ready to step up, work together, and make this event unforgettable. Are you up for the challenge? REQUIREMENTS:
Everyone who applies to be a True Grit volunteer must be able to do the following:
Be 16 years of age or older. If you are younger than this you can volunteer, but will need accompanying adult supervision and with a signed parent or guardian consent form.
Attend your shift! If you don’t attend you won’t receive any of the benefits.
An ability to speak and read English.
Flexibility for which role you will do.
Volunteer shifts commence at 0645 on event day and go until your allocated role has finished. Please allow approx. 8 hours.
