My Story…
This is my mom-beats-breast-cancer-(half)-marathon-fundraising-run :)
In February of this year my mom Laurel was diagnosed with breast cancer and it really sucked. Thankfully her treatment has been successful so far, but there is still a lot of treatment left to go. It's hard to know what to do when your mom has cancer, so I've decided to try and raise money for cancer research on her behalf. I don't think I can run a full marathon, but I will make a decent attempt at the half-marathon! If you are able to donate, we would appreciate it so much :)
Catch me running at a steady 6:00/km pace (or slower) on October 12 in sunny, downtown Victoria. Will I beat my Vancouver half-marathon time?? Will I poop in my pants??? Who knows :) But it's all for a good cause.
If I meet my fundraising goal I will let my mom shave my head :)
