Volunteer Information - 2024 Summer Shores Race
Volunteer at the 2024 Summer Shores Race!
If you would like to volunteer for this years race please fill out the volunteer registration form and someone from our team will be in touch with you a few weeks before the race. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email info@vrpro.ca
Volunteers will be assigned based on where we need people the most. Please indicate your preferences when signing up. We will do our best to match you to your preferred role, however, adjustments may need to be made so that we can fill all required volunteer positions.
Race Date: Monday, September 2nd, 2024
Location: Edgewater Pavillion - Confederation Beach Park, Hamilton ON
Event Address: 585 Van Wagners Beach Rd., Hamilton ON
Time: Volunteers are needed from approximately 7:30AM - 11:30AM
Course Marshal (Outside along the race route)
Course marshals play an extremely important role during the race by helping to direct participants along the route. You can also cheer the runners on as they pass by. All course marshals will be transported to their location and picked up from their location. You will be outside and on your feet for the duration of the event. This position is stationed along the race route.

Time: Volunteers are needed from approximately 7:30AM - 11:30AM
Water Station Volunteer (Outside along the race route)
Water station volunteers will be handing out water to the runners along the race route during the race. There will be 2 water stations along the route. You will be outside and on your feet for the duration of the event. This position is stationed along the race route.

Time: Volunteers are needed from approximately 7:30AM - 11:30AM
Finish Line Volunteers (Outside near start/finish line)
Finish line volunteers will assist with the following roles as needed at the finish line. You will be outside and on your feet for the duration of the event. You will be stationed at the main event site near the start/finish line.
- Handing out medals to the runners
- Handing out fruit and water to the runners
- Helping at the waste sorting station
