My Story…
My name is Shawn Kent, and I’m a proud veteran with 20+ years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces. I now continue my service as a public servant, working to protect Canada’s Parliament.
This year, I’ve signed up for the Commander’s Challenge at Canada’s Army Run—running both the 5K and the half marathon. But I’m not just running for the challenge. I’m running to raise money for Soldier On, a program that directly supports ill and injured members of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP in rebuilding their confidence and lives through sport and activity.
Soldier On is more than just a charity—it’s a lifeline for those navigating the tough transition from injury to recovery. I’ve seen firsthand the difference it can make.
Please consider donating. Every dollar helps get someone back on their feet—literally and figuratively. Let’s honour those who served by helping them move forward.
Donate to help SHAWN raise money for Canada Army Run 2025 / Course de l’Armée du Canada : 2025’s fundraising campaign.
