My Story…
This is my first time running in the Army Run. I had heard of it in the past but thought it was just for military. This year I started working at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), so I learned more about this race because it raises money for Soldier On which is an organization that CFMWS started. Once I learned that anybody can participate in this race, and that it raises money for our troops and Soldier On, I wanted to support it.
I signed up for the 5K run, and this is my first time running in years, so it will require some training for me, but I'm feeling up for the challenge! And knowing the proceeds for this race are going towards such a great cause is a huge motivator for me.
