Course Description, Distances and Maps

The start/finish area is located in the Devon Lions Campground on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. A warm fire is roaring under the pavilion keeping runners toasty warm before the start of the race. The race starts with a grinding hill climb to the top of the ridge. From there you’ll descend through the single track to the bluff which overlooks the campground where you will get a peek of the start/finish area. The course finishes with 2 kilometers of hard packed trail along the river where you will be treated to beautiful autumn colors.
The sport course completes the loop once, the enduro course twice, and the grit runners complete the loop three times.

The Devon 3 km Kids Challenge race is a real treat. The kids are treated to a hill climb to the top of the new River Valley Alliance Trail. They then turn around and have the enjoyment of running downhill into the finish line.

Located just 30 minutes south of Edmonton, the Town of Devon, is home to fantastic river valley trails - both single track and hard pack, and beautiful autumn river valley colors. Runners, hikers, cyclists, and campers all enjoy Devon’s river valley.

Race Distances and Maps:

This Devon course kicks off with a grinding hill climb. From there, you’ll run single track into the valley and make your way around the golf course and finish off with a fast-and-flat section along the river.

Race distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions up to the day of the race.

Important Notes

In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, please do not bring the following on the race course:

No dogs
No headphones
No strollers or baby joggers
No nordic walking poles

Washrooms: Washroom facilities are available at Start / Finish area.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Spectators who cheer will be rewarded with smiles.

Parking: Parking is limited so please carpool if you can. Park at the top of the hill and walk or jog down the hill - a great warm up for the race.

Awards & Prizes: Awards ceremony will be held following the completion of all competitors. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as the top three male and female finishers overall. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.

We are proudly a cup-free event: For all races and events, please bring your own reusable cup/container. Thank you for being part of our commitment to the environment!

1. All prices listed above are subject to sales tax. 5% GST in BC and Alberta and 13% HST in Ontario

2. Park Fees may be applied to your registration at checkout.

3. An online processing fee will be applied to your registration into this event.

4. All funds payable in Canadian Dollars.

5. VISA, MC, Amex, and Discover Card accepted.

6. Your credit card statement will show a charge from Race Roster or Fast North Corp for your online registration into this event.
