People around the world have been inspired by Terry’s enduring legacy. Through the generous support of our donors, partners, and volunteers, The Terry Fox Foundation has raised more than $850 million and funded 1,300 innovative cancer research projects, bringing hope and health to millions of Canadians.
Terry’s Marathon of Hope run across Canada in 1980 launched a new age in fundraising. He was an innovator, philanthropist and athlete. In keeping with Terry’s personal philosophy, The Terry Fox Run is an all-inclusive, non-competitive event, with no corporate sponsorship, incentives or fundraising minimums. For over four decades, Canadians and people around the world alike, have shown that Terry Fox’s spirit of resilience, determination, and hope live on.
