2025 Virtual Transition
Memphis In May officials, in coordination with their onsite Meteorologist, have been monitoring weather impacting downtown Memphis. Due to hazardous conditions including multiple cloud-to-ground lighting strikes in close proximity this morning we have made the difficult decision to transition the 2025 Great American River Run to a Virtual Event. In addition, high-resolution computer models are consistent in projecting additional storm development throughout the course of the morning to early afternoon over Memphis, which pose a risk of cloud-to-ground lighting and very heavy rain.
Participants will receive an email with instructions on how to post your virtual results online including automated posting via the RunKeeper app. Virtual result posting will be available through midnight on May 31st.
Packet pickup will also be available from 11:00am - 4:00pm on Tuesday, May 27th @ Memphis In May office located at 56 S. Front Street. If you have any questions please email mim@memphisinmay.org.
