The FAB 5km Challenge Program is a FREE and innovative 12-week running program that challenges youth girls in grades 6, 7 and 8 living in lower income communities, to train for and complete a five kilometre run. Our program takes participants through a journey of goal setting, hard work, self-discovery, and goal realization. Participants meet once a week with volunteer coaches to train, play, learn, build important life skills, and form positive and supportive relationships with each other. The girls complete our program full of pride, confidence and most importantly, armed with a goal-setting framework they can use to pursue any future goal; and an appreciation for running that will keep them fueled for life.
