Raise money for Hamilton Conservation Foundation
The Hamilton Conservation Foundation raises and manages funds for priority conservation projects of the Hamilton Conservation Authority in the areas of land acquisition and improvements, environmental education, and cultural heritage. Donations from the Sulphur Springs Trail Race are directed to trail development and improvements in Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
The Burlington Runners Club is a Pioneer of Conservation donor to the Hamilton Conservation Foundation having contributed over $90,000 to date to the trail improvements in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area through the Hamilton Conservation Foundation. All this money has come from the proceeds of the Sulphur Springs Trail Races. This summer, Burlington Runners Club and Sulphur Spring Trail race representatives presented a cheque at the site where their "Green Finish Line" trees are planted in the Dundas Valley to Foundation Executive Director Amanda Martin and Dundas Valley Acting Superintendent James Lees from the 2024 race proceeds. Donations from the race continue to improve the trails in Dundas Valley for all users.
