The Cherry Blossom Triathlon (CBT) was started in 2013 and has grown to be a staple early-season race or a great entry event for first-timers.
The CBT is hosted in Kelowna at one of the country's premier swim facilities – the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre. This first-class venue has a 50m pool, perfect for creating a great pool swim for the event. The H2O is surrounded by an ideal, spectator-friendly bike loop circuit, fairly flat and fast except for Swamp Hill Climb which is a nice added challenge! A mix of roads and trails makes the 2 - 5km run fun, interesting, and scenic.

Entries are capped and we will declare "sold out" once our event hits participant capacity. We provide updates on Facebook, Instagram, and our newsletter as we approach capacity. Newsletters are emailed to all participants leading up to the race - if you do not get information emailed to you, it is likely going to your spam folder.

Rolling Start Position
You'll be asked to input your predicted swim time during registration but if you have no idea what you'll swim on race day, two weeks prior to the event, we will contact you via email with instructions on how to submit an updated projected swim time. We highly recommend timing yourself a few times to obtain the most accurate projected time possible. Your fellow swimmers will appreciate a smooth swim! Remember, it's 50m lengths so you might need to add a few seconds per 100m if you're swimming in a 25m pool... and even more for yards.
Age Restrictions & TriBC Day-of-Race Insurance
In keeping with Triathlon Canada and Triathlon BC regulations and guidelines, individual (solo) Sprint Distance entries must be a minimum of 16 years old* to participate. Participants may participate on a relay team if they are 13 years old* or older. Youth ages 12 to 15* may participate in the Super Sprint Event. If you are not a TriBC Member, you must pay for your Triathlon BC Day-of-Race Insurance at time of registration. You must either be a Triathlon BC Member or have purchased a one-day event membership to participate.

Payment and Cancellation
1. Online Registration closes at midnight on April 30th, 2025 OR when registration is full.
2. There is an online processing fee applied to all online registrations for this event.
3. GST will be applied to your registration at checkout.
4. All funds payable in Canadian Dollars.
5. VISA, MC, Amex, and Discover Card accepted.
6. Prices displayed are inclusive of all additional processing fees and event cancellation protection if the event is cancelled due to a catastrophic event outside of our control.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
Most of our event expenses are incurred before race day as we prepare to put on a high-quality event for you. To maintain the sustainability of the event, if something happens that prevents you from participating, we'd be happy to offer you a deferral into next year's event. We are also happy to transfer your race entry to a friend or family member you've lined up to take your place before the April 30th Deadline. Refunds are available if you purchased the additional race protection and the criteria are met.
