I've been on the Board of Justice for Children and Youth for 13 years, currently as Past President. I'm walking the 5K because JFCY's fundraising needs are greater than ever.

Right now, in Ontario, there are roughly 20,000 children and youth who are chronically unhoused and another 27,000 who are victims of police-reported family violence. Countless others are silenced by trauma, navigating gender-based discrimination, systemic racism, undocumented status and increasingly complex mental health challenges. 

JFCY provides free, specialized, trauma-informed legal services to Ontario’s most vulnerable children and youth. Our work is client-driven, youth-centred, and relentlessly committed to enhancing access to justice through direct representation, systemic advocacy, and collaborative law reform.
