Description
Donations to Youth Without Shelter (YWS) through the Toronto Waterfront Marathon will go directly towards the programs and wrap-around support services offered by YWS as we fight to end youth homelessness. These supports go well beyond shelter and food: we provide a wrap-around model of programming including one-on-one guidance, mental health and wellness supports, a stay in school program, an employment program, and an after-care program to help youth as they transition to independent living.
All operations are trauma-informed and designed to build self-esteem and resiliency, and focus on personal strengths. Together, with our experienced team of staff, we recognize the individual needs of each youth we serve, and empower them to discover their own unique path out of homelessness, and to live responsibly and independently within our society.
