Our story…

For the first time ever, Greenpeace is lacing up for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon with our team: “Running for the Planet!” While registration for the race is now full, you can still be part of the action by supporting our runners with a donation today! Together, we’re aiming to raise $5,000, and every contribution brings us closer to our goal.

By giving today, you’re fueling Greenpeace’s work to protect the environment and inspire change. Your support will keep our runners motivated as they train for the big day and help ensure their efforts translate into real-world impact for the planet.

In addition to donating, you can also join us on race day to cheer for our team and celebrate together. The Toronto Waterfront Marathon takes place on October 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. ET.

All funds raised will go to the Greenpeace Canada Education Fund (GCEF). When you give, you’re not just backing a marathon team; you’ll be advancing environmental research and education by challenging harmful practices and taking action for a future where people and planet can thrive.
