Help me help Lifeline save lives

I’m gearing up to do the 180kms in support of Lifeline and would love your help to raise some much needed funds.

All funds raised go straight to the great people and work that Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney do.

On average 8 Australians take their life through suicide each day. You can’t just cure depression. It has to be managed with help, support and love.

I’ve experienced this kind of darkness firsthand and know the love and support I’ve received is what’s seen me through…. It is why I’m here today, wanting to help others and asking for your support in achieving this.

I head off on Saturday 20 September & I’ll keep you posted on my progress along the way!

Scott!

Description

Every day, nine Australians lose their battle with mental health — help us help Lifeline.

In recent years, challenges like COVID, natural disasters, and financial pressures have deeply affected our communities. As a result, more people than ever are turning to Lifeline for support—through both their frontline mental health services and the national 13 11 14 crisis line.

This year, I’m taking part in the 10th Go4Broke – GFB25, a gruelling 183km cycling event with over 2,000 metres of vertical climbing, from Berowra to Broke in the Hunter Valley

Unlike many other cycling events, Go4Broke was created from lived experience. Its founder, having faced his own mental health journey, started this ride to raise awareness and vital funds for those who are still struggling.

As a proud participant in GFB25, I’ll be raising funds for Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney. Your support will not only help staff the 24/7 13 11 14 crisis line, but also fund critical, on-the-ground mental health services in our local community. The Lifeline centre in Gordon is one of the few in Australia that answers calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—especially during the late-night and early morning hours, when people experiencing depression and anxiety are often most vulnerable.

At Go4Broke, every dollar we raise goes directly towards funding these essential services. Over the past nine years, we’ve raised more than $500,000—and we’re just getting started. Please consider supporting me as I train for this incredibly tough but deeply meaningful ride.

Every dollar makes a difference. Every dollar could save a life.

Thank you for helping me support Lifeline.
