Across the Lake Swim Skaha Lake
Sunday, August 10th, 2025
Skaha Lake, originally known as "Dog Lake" but with a local twist meaning "horse," is an absolutely gorgeous freshwater gem nestled between the southern tip of Penticton and Okanagan Falls in British Columbia's stunning Okanagan Valley.
The Across the Lake Swim Skaha Lake is no ordinary swim. The 11.8km is a point-to-point course starting in Penticton's Skaha Lake Park and finishing in Okanagan Falls. The water averages a delightful 23°C (74°F).
The 4.5km swim starts in beautiful Kaleden and also ends in Okanagan Falls.
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with the surrounding valley adding to the picturesque setting.
The 11.8km is done solo but not entirely alone, as each swimmer must be accompanied by their own support paddler. Paddlers are not required for the 4.5km swim. We do not supply paddlers, but we can help you find one.
All 11.8km participants will be tracked by GPS. Share the live event link so your friends and family can track you as you swim the length of Skaha Lake in real time.
The Across the Lake Swim respectfully acknowledges that the land on which we live and work is situated on the ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx Nation.
