April 20. 5K Every Hour. On The Hour. 24 Hours.
Every year I run the Sporting Life 10K to raise money for Campfire Circle. This charity has always been close to me. Cancer Research is important, but this organization focuses on the mental and physical health of Children impacted by cancer/illnesses by providing them fun camp experiences. It allows them to forget about their ongoing sickness and lets them just be a kid.
The charity hits closer to home the past two years when I lost my father after his short battle with brain cancer. My dad always gave back to charities and his community, but he always had a soft spot for Charites that focused around giving back to children.
This year I'm doing something a little different. For those that know me, a 10K run is a regular daily activity. So this Easter weekend, I'll be running 5KM every hour, on each hour, for 24 hours to fundraise for Campfire Circle. Please help me reach my goal and send these kids to camp!

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
