Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Team Savannah’s Smile
This year marks the 14th time we are participating in this run/walk in honor of my firstborn, Savannah. My little angel was taken from me far too soon after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. Although there are a ton of emotions that come with this annual event, I find comfort in giving back to an organization that has meant so much to us: Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Ooch).
During our long stays at SickKids, the incredible volunteers at Camp Ooch/Campfire Circle never failed to bring joy to Savannah. Their kindness and dedication left a lasting impact, and I will always be grateful for them.
Savannah dreamed of spending a summer at camp in Muskoka, but heartbreakingly, she never made it to the “next” summer.
My second born, Victoria, was able to experience Campfire Circle’s bereaved siblings program, which became a crucial part of her healing journey. Being surrounded by others who understood her loss helped her cope, and she formed lifelong friendships. She recently graduated from their programs and had the opportunity to give back last summer as a camp counselor and volunteer.
I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about this incredible organization and the life-changing programs they offer for oncology patients and their families. Campfire Circle holds a special place in my heart, and I’m so grateful for your support.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
