My Story
Campfire Circle was our daughter’s favourite place to be. There she was able to be just one of the many other children who were living with childhood cancer. There were no questions to answer, there was just fun. Children laughing, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, and dressing up in crazy costumes for theme nights. Laughing and singing around campfires and creating life-long friendships. Just like normal kids. Except there might have been trips to the Med Shed to see a nurse or oncologist. There might have been part of a day when a camper needed their chemo. But those did not take away the magic of being at camp. I will be walking (not running) the 10km this year. My goal is to raise $2500 which will send two kids to camp for a week. I appreciate anything you can give to help send a child living a very tough life to a place where Joy, laughter and magic are around every corner.

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
