My Story
Cancer sucks—plain and simple. There’s no sugarcoating it. The goal is to make it suck a little less for kids and their families. Supporting the Sporting Life 10K helps raise funds for Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium), an incredible organization that brings joy, connection, and healing to kids affected by cancer and their families.
Every donation helps provide camp experiences, programs, and moments of happiness that give kids a chance to just be kids—free from hospital visits and treatment schedules, even if only for a little while.
Every step and every contribution is a way to make this journey brighter for these families. Together, we can bring light, hope, and support to those who need it most.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
When you donate to Campfire Circle you build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being.
