My Story
As many of you already know, our family was faced with something unimaginable- cancer. Scarlett was only 5 years old when she was diagnosed with a liver tumor. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation with incredible strength and courage.
Throughout it all, the staff and volunteers at Camp Ooch (now Campfire Circle) were there for us and many other families. Their dedication and devotion brought light into the darkest days.
They made sure Scarlett and others could still just be kids. From making slime to playing board games to simply being there to talk. Camp Ooch helped Scarlett escape the weight of her reality and experience joy even in the midest of treatment.
Camp Ooch remains a part of Scarlett's life and a part of our story.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
