One Mile. One Mission. Brighter Tomorrows.
Thank you for joining the Shining Luke’s Light team! We are running in honor of 17-year-old Luke Caver, our son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who survived a near-fatal car accident on August 21, 2024. He sustained a severe traumatic brain injury along with multiple fractures to his face and spine and fought through several medical complications as a result of his complex injuries.
For 50 days, physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists at ROH worked to save Luke’s life, and we will be forever indebted to them and grateful for their expertise, compassion, and dedication to their work on Luke’s behalf.
Today, Luke is a walking miracle. He is completing outpatient rehabilitation three times a week, completing online classes to stay on track for graduation, and is preparing to return in person to school this January and attend MTSU next fall.
We run in honor of his determination and in gratitude of all of those at ROH who gave our Luke back to us. #shininglukeslight
