Race Information and Important Notes
The race, which starts and finishes at the lakeside, flows along the beautiful double track of Alice Lake shoreline before connecting to the scenic Lost Lake shoreline. Continuing along, this flowy forest track brings runners past Fawn Lake, the third of the Four Lakes. A right turn at Fawn lake takes runners along more smooth, beautiful trails weaving through the trees and flowing to the edge of Edith Lake, the fourth lake in the group. Both the Sport and Enduro begin a short climb here before being directed to part ways.
The Sport runners begin a gradual and playful descent down to the final kilometers of vibrant green single track along Hop Creek which leads you back to the finish line of warm smiles and tasty snacks where it all began!
The Enduro runners continue a non-trivial climb up 50 Shades of Green to the top of the world famous Rupert Trail. Thus begins a world class descent on slightly more technical trails that provide alternate, mellow options for those with toes and not hooves. Runners will be directed through Tazers (the namesake for a local trail builder's pet dog) and run through the giant dog house (awesome photo opportunity).
Once you have danced your way down this stunning single track and flowed into the Mashiter Creek Trail, it will take you swiftly back onto the original route, past Edith Lake to begin a gradual and playful descent down to the final kilometers of vibrant green single track along the musical waters of Hop Creek which lead back to finish line of warm smiles and tasty snacks where it all began!

No dogs
No headphones
No strollers or baby joggers
No nordic walking poles
Washrooms: There is a large bathroom building near the main parking lot, and we will have portable toilets, as well as the existing outhouse near the start/finish line. Please consider stopping to use the bathroom as you walk to the start/finish to avoid huge lineups.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Spectators who cheer will be rewarded with smiles.
Awards & Prizes: Awards ceremony will be held following completion of all competitors. (Approximately 11:30 am. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as the top three male and female finishers overall.
Drop Bags: There will be a tent set up where you can leave a bag for after the race. We do not have a full drop bag system in place, and we ask that you do not leave any valuables in your bags.
Music: We are not allowed to have any amplified music in Alice Lake to disturb campers and other guests. Yes, this is not as much fun, but we'll make do. Please keep other park users in mind when arriving early, and keep your volume to a minimum.
Parking:
Carpools of 4+ people will get directed to the Main lot, whereas, cars of 1-3 will have to park out near the highway. Regardless of when you arrive, so PLEASE CARPOOL! Feel free to post in the Vancouver Region 5Peaks Group if you are looking to carpool.
There's VERY limited parking, and NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD INSIDE THE PARK. Please pay attention to the parking attendants, and only park where you are advised to park. THANK YOU ahead of time.
There are 3 main places to park.
#1 - The PRIME SPOTS. Right next to the race start, which has limited spots, and it will be filled by 7:15am latest.
#2 - The main parking lots at Alice Lake, for racers arriving between 7 & 830am. All racers HAVE TO ARRIVE AND BE PARKED BY 8:30AM, as check-in CLOSES at 8:45am, and check-in/race start is at the South end of the lake, approx 800M from the main lot. This parking lot is great because it's located next to the main washrooms and there's less likely to be bathroom line-ups.
#3 - Just off the highway, in the overflow lot, and down BOTH sides of the North no exit lane. Yes, we're allowed to park on the sides of this road, and this road only. Parking in this overflow lot/road, is 2.25KMs from the race start. Pro tip: This is an excellent warm-up, and you can visit the main bathrooms in the main parking lot on your way to avoid the portables line-ups!
Cars of 3 or less people will be directed to park the farthest away, in our 3rd option parking areas. Sorry - but that's just the way it is. In this day and age with the technology we have, there's no excuses for not being able to find a friend or random to ride-share with. Pro tip - you don't have to ride share from home, you can always meet up in Squamish, at the Capra Running parking lot, or at the Canadian Tire, where there are plenty of spots.
