Rochester ECFE 5K & Family Fun Event

Support Rochester Early Childhood and Family Education by moving your body and challenging yourself to be the best version of yourself! The Rochester ECFE 5K will begin and end at Soldier's Field in downtown Rochester, on September 27th, 2025. Funds raised through registration and sponsorship will directly benefit families in the Rochester community.
The free Family Fun Event will begin around 9:00 AM after the 5K has been completed and end at 12:00 PM. The whole family is invited to join the fun! Come out for the family walk, baby crawl, toddler and preschool heats, and even some big kid races! We will also have food options available for purchase and additional games in the green space of the park.
5K race packets will be distributed at MN Treads again this year. The pickup date is Friday, September 26th, from 4:00-7:00 PM.
Rochester Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) provides a wide range of programs designed to support families and young children. Our offerings include Parent and Family Education classes, Early Childhood Screening, and RPS Preschool programs, which are available at the Northrop Community Education Building, Hoover Early Learning School, and Mighty Oaks Early Learning School. Additionally, we serve children and families participating in Family Literacy at Hawthorne Education Center. At Rochester ECFE, our mission is to foster connections and engagement among our youngest residents and their families, strengthening the vibrant community of Rochester.

- Due to the unpredictability of the weather in Minnesota, we will do everything within our power to put the race on. If we must cancel the event, please consider your registration a gift to Rochester ECFE; unless you have invested in the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program.
- Participants registered before September 6, 2025 will receive a Rochester ECFE 5K t-shirt.
- For registrations after September 6, 2025, we cannot guarantee the availability of shirts or specific sizes.
