In 2023 a very special and important person in our family was diagnosed with colon cancer. Marina, the heartbeat of our family, who wears many hats and has many roles in our family (mom, nonna, wife, sister, daughter, friend) faced her new diagnosis with admirable bravery and strength. After having surgery and undergoing chemo, Marina is now cancer free and we all couldn’t be happier. Now that she is on the other side of this, we wanted to honour and celebrate her journey by participating in the Bumrun and fundraising for this charity organization that raises awareness and encourages screening to prevent colon cancer.
