My Story…
In the earlier years after “The Accident”, I was filled with sadness, grief, despair, loss, and other negative feelings. I would look back at another year of my life that I had lost because I was not able to be the person I was before nor do the things I enjoyed doing before. The door on who I was closed on January 18, 2016. Although some of “me” came back, I’m also different. That difference has brought several positive traits that I am grateful for. I appreciate the simple things in life. I have chosen to now acknowledge my brain injury by thinking about how grateful and proud I am as I look back on my journey of recovery. I see how much I have improved and all the hard work I did to get here. This is all due to the immense support of BIAWW. This is why I do this, all for this organization that literally saved me from ending my life. Please help me to reach my fundraising goal and help BIAWW help others like me!
