Fast, Flat, and Philanthropic: the Houston Half Marathon & 10K is presented by the Houston Strider s, an all-volunteer, 501 (c) (3) non-profit focused on community wellness and charitable outreach. We are a metro-wide running club with over 500 active members and have been running Houston since 1985! In years past, we've given over $ 1 million to Houston-area organizations & non-profits. You also have the opportunity to raise money for your charity using the Kind Stride Program described below.

USATF CERTIFIED COURSE

After a one-year hiatus, we will once again run the single-loop course! Check out our UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & Houston 10K routes with a great start into Downtown Houston, fast straight-aways on Allen Parkway, and then a beautiful view of Downtown for the finish. Our pre-/post-race area will be at the historic Sam Houston Park!

WALKER-FRIENDLY

The course will remain open until 11 AM, giving runners and walkers a generous 4hrs (half) and 3.5 hours (10k) from the starting gun to finish!

Note: Please be aware, that the start line schedule may change as planning progresses and will impact the hours on the course. Your health and safety are our number one priority.

ABOUT HOUSTON HALF KIND STRIDE PROGRAM

The Houston Half Kind Stride Program will match up to $25,000 in the form of supplemental donations. That is, for every dollar received via registrants' donations we will contribute another dollar to the same charity as chosen by the runner.
