Raise money for Halifax Search & Rescue
Did you know that Halifax Search and Rescue (HSAR) is 100% volunteer? Everyone on the team is on call 24/7/365. All members provide their own gear and transport themselves to searches when called upon. Hundreds of volunteer hours are put into searching, emergency evacuations, unhoused checks, logistics, mapping, boating, drone mapping, K9 training, training, every month.
We are a registered charity that receives limited provincial and city grants each year to support our operations. We are a100% non-profit and volunteer organization and rely heavily on fundraising for our expenses.
Expenses can include maintenance and purchase of specialized equipment, vehicles, training, and safety gear. These are all needed to help us reunite lost persons with their families.
Your support will help us focus on training our team to respond to lost-person incidents, as well as civil emergencies. We thank you for your support!
