I’m running the marathon to raise money for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in honor of my cousin, Sadur Michael Canca.
Sadur was one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever known. He was first diagnosed with lymphoma and fought hard to beat it. But shortly after, he was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite his strength, courage, and unshakable spirit, he passed away last year, April 4th, at the age of 26.
This run is for him. It’s my way of honoring his memory, his fight, and the beautiful life he lived. I’m proud to run with Team Interius to support AACR’s mission — funding groundbreaking research so that more families can have more time with the people they love.
