Help Linda raise money

Every time I lace up my running shoes I remember my why. Last year I had the honor of being part of the AACR Runners for Research team and knew I wanted to come back to run this year. 

Cancer first came into our family in 2012 when my Mother in Law, Peggy, was diagnosed with lung cancer. She fought bravely but lost her battle. My kids lost their wonderful Grandmom and Shane his Mom.

Then in 2014 cancer came back into our lives when I got that call no one wants to hear- my Dad was diagnosed with leukemia. At the time we thought there were treatments that can cure him. But after long year of fighting he too lost his battle to cancer. 

The loss is something I think about every day and how much cancer took away from our family. Our family has lost Aunts, Uncles, and many friends to this terrible disease. It makes me angry and sad. How can we fight back? 

This is where AACR comes in and how you can help be part of our fight club! Together we will crush cancer- one donation at a time. I will put the miles in with my team. We need your support!

So I am back in my hometown with my good running buddies for Philly Marathon weekend. This time I will take on the Liberty Challenge - which is the half marathon on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday. That is about 40 miles over 2 days! Sure it is a challenge but so is cancer. And so is watching someone you love suffer as they battle cancer.
