My Story…
Hello Everyone,
So..
I have decided a little late in the game to fundraise as a part of my journey to the Philadelphia Marathon on November 23rd.
I have chosen to fundraise for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). I, like so many, have had the unfortunate experience of having too many friends and family members that have had their lives affected by the terrible disease that is cancer.
Most recently someone very close to me has been diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer).
This race has now taken on a new meaning/purpose for me.❤️
This fundraiser will help the research in Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center focus on discovering new ways to harness the immune system in the fight against cancer, a.k.a. immunotherapy. The priority of the lab is to develop treatment strategies to fight cancers, one being specifically, glioblastoma (brain cancer).
Because so many people in the world have had some experience with cancer we all know how incredibly hard it can be on everyone involved, so any way that we can help to fund research and new treatments that could improve prognosis and quality of life it’s so important.
It’s so important to me.❤️
Please consider donating. Any dollar amount is appreciated.
Thank you for helping ❤️
Donate to help Erica raise money for 2025 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
