My Story…
Hello friends, family, and supporters,
I’m gearing up for my second marathon, and once again, I’m running for a cause very close to my heart — the fight against cancer through the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and their incredible Runners for Research team.
Many of you know my story: I am a sarcoma survivor, and before my diagnosis, I was a sarcoma nurse, dedicating my career to caring for patients battling this tough disease. My personal and professional journey has shown me firsthand the importance of advancing cancer research — the real hope for better treatments and cures.
Last year, I ran my first marathon, sharing my story and raising funds for the AACR. Between that marathon and this year’s Broad Street Run, together we raised $3,642 to support vital cancer research initiatives. That’s thousands of dollars going directly to scientists working tirelessly to understand and beat cancer.
