The Coastal Ascent, which is part of the Golden trail Series is a trail running event through the trails of Glenrock National Park. The event offers distances from 5km through to 50km and also has a kids beach bolt. In 2025 the start and finishline will be positioned at Dixon Park SLSC. This event includes on course and finishline entertainment and a buzzing festival like finishline experience on the June Long Weekend in Newcastle
