Forest City Road Races is a non-profit event. All proceeds from the event go to the programs and services at the Thames Valley Children's Centre. We hope our participants can understand that we order items for the event and race kits early in the year. All printing begins at M&T Printing Group by Tuesday, May 20th, for the June 8th event. We will try to accommodate and be as flexible as possible with distance changes, injuries, cancellations, etc., until a few weeks before the event.
Transferring distances:
- Provided the events are not sold out, you may change your distance or switch to the virtual event online until Friday, June 6th. If you want to change your distance after Friday, June 6th, please visit the Solutions Table at Bib Pick Up on Saturday, June 7th, in Victoria Park.
- If you transfer to a longer distance, there will be an additional transfer fee.
- There will be no refunds for transferring to a shorter distance or a virtual event.
Transferring to another person:
- If you can't participate in the race you have registered for, you can transfer your registration to another person online until Friday, June 6th. If you want to transfer your registration after Friday, June 6th, please visit the Solutions Table at Bib Pick Up on Saturday, June 7th, in Victoria Park.
- To begin the transfer online, please click the link below. Input the email of the new participant. Race Roster will email them a link where they will complete their registration and pay in full. Once the transfer is complete, you will be refunded (less processing fees) on your original form of payment.
- We will never ask you or the participant you are transferring to pay via e-transfer. Please do not purchase a bib "online." Please be aware that scammers have tried to sell bibs for our sold-out event in the past. All transfers must be made through Race Roster via the transfer link below.
- You can defer your registration to the next year until Sunday, May 18th, for a $25 fee. We try to accommodate and be as flexible as we can with distance changes, injuries, cancellations, etc., up to a few weeks before the event. After May 18th, please consider your registration similar to a concert or other event ticket that cannot be deferred. Please email our Community Director, Laura at info@forestcityroadraces.com to do this.
Canceling/Refunds:
- Your race registration is non-refundable. If you purchased the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Policy and would like to request a refund, you will find all of the necessary information in the email sent to you by Protecht / Reg Shield.
- Alternatively, if you can’t make it to race weekend, you can switch to the virtual event, which runs through July. You will still receive your shirt, bib & medal + you’re still supporting the Thames Valley Children’s Centre. All you have to do is complete your distance at any time and then upload your results to the live feed to see how you did against the other participants. *Please do not register for a race and run a shorter distance race without transferring via the link below or letting the Race Roster Solutions desk know on Saturday, June 7th. This makes it difficult for the timing company (for example, registering for the half and running the 10K could give you a winning time for the half marathon on the results page. Also, the photographers tag all your photos based on distance and bib number. Completing a different distance makes it more difficult for them, too.
