You can do so by becoming a Founding Member of the Crim’s newly-launched endowment fund. For every $100 you donate, not only will you be recognized as a founder in the Crim’s new office building, but you will also get a foot of the historic Blue Line!
As the Crim continues on its “Road to 50” which will culminate in our 50th running of the event in 2027, we are looking forward to a bright future. The Crim Endowment which will help the organization continue the race and all our community programs, which serve more than 20,000 Flint and Genesee County residents, for the next fifty years and beyond.
What is the Crim Endowment?
The Crim Endowment is a permanent or “forever” fund that will be used to invest gifts in a way that guarantees support for Crim into perpetuity. Your gift will continue to provide income for the foundation for as long as we serve the community.
Why is it important?
The Crim Endowment is a sustainability strategy. Growing an endowed fund allows Crim to generate its own income instead of relying solely on the decisions of grantmakers or other potentially uncertain funding sources. Additionally, endowed funds are invested in a way that allows for consistent and steady growth over time. This endowment will specifically fund organizational operating costs for Crim, allowing the foundation to use more dollars to support our events, programs and services, reaching more residents with more opportunities to be active and healthy.
