Raise money for Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka-Parry Sound
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Muskoka Parry Sound Branch is a non-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. In 1972, the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital created and sponsored Muskoka’s first mental health agency which grew to eventually dissolve in 1994 and become an independent charitable corporation known as Community Mental Health Services. A merger in 2015 with the Addiction Outreach Program created the branch of Canadian Mental Health Association. Now with a multitude of programs accessible within Muskoka-Parry Sound, the agency is proud to be an employer and support within our communities.
Why is your mental health important?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and helps determine how we handle our stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health and is important in every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Mental health influences the fulfillment we have in our daily lives and the goals we set out to achieve.
