How do I confirm if I am registered?
Confirmation of your race entry has been emailed to you from Race Roster. Please be sure to check the junk mail folder if you can’t locate your confirmation in your inbox.
Can I transfer my registration?
No, registration is non-transferable, but if you purchased refund insurance, you may apply for that.
Can I change my t-shirt size after registration?
No, we cannot change shirt sizes at pick-up; we order exactly enough t-shirts for the number of people who have registered.
How do I get my race package?
Race packages can be picked up on Saturday, May 24th from 3:30-5:30 and the morning of Sunday, May 25th at the Civic Centre (525 Archibald Street in Kimberley). Please make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook page for any race updates!
Can I pick up race packages for my family members, or does everyone need to come retrieve their own?
You may pick up race packages for your family.
Can I donate to the KMH 5K Breakaway?

Can I walk or run the course without registering?
No, all people on the race route are required to wear their race bib that they purchased, or received, in their name only. Due to legal reasons, only officially registered participants are covered by our event insurance. Children under 5 must be under direct parental supervision at all times as they will not be assigned bibs.
Is there a race course map available?
Depart the Civic Centre and follow the Rails to Trails path to Jim Ogilvie Way.
Cross the road and travel down the Volksmarch trail to the blue bridge at Mark Creek.
Cross Rotary Drive onto Lions trail up to the skate park.
Cross the road at the skate park and travel over the bridge on the left and then down Montgomery Ave to the RCMP station.
Cross the road and over the bridge by McKim and come around the front of Rotary Park, back to the Civic Centre.

Are Strollers and children allowed?
Yes! This is a (Human) FAMILY run. Please ensure you register ALL participants. Children under 5 are FREE. Our course is either paved or packed dirt/ gravel and will be no problem with your running stroller. We require stroller-pushers to start with the walkers. There is one steep hill section, however we will have volunteers in place to assist with pushing your stroller up if needed.
Can I bring my dog?
No, please leave your four-legged family members at home. This will be a busy event with lots of children and we ask that you do not bring your dog or pet along with you.
Can I walk instead of run?
Yes! Please register for our FUN run event and you will not be timed.
Can I bike instead of run?
No, please do not bike, roller blade, scooter etc. While the Rails to Trails is public access, we ask that you walk or run only.
Where should I park?
There will be parking available at the event in the Civic Centre parking lot and along Rotary Drive. We do ask that you consider carpooling.
Where is the start and finish area?
The start/finish line is located in the Civic Centre Parking lot by the Rotary Park.
Will there be water/aid stations?
A water station will be set up at the start/finish area, and at the halfway point on the course route on Jim Ogilvie Way. Please help reduce waste and bring a water bottle, though we will have cups available to those who need them
Course Marshals and First Aid Attendants will be stationed along the race course please ask them for help if needed!
Can I have headphones on while walking/running?
We don’t recommend wearing headphones or ear buds during the event, as you may not be able to hear course marshals with important information.
Where do I return my timing stick?
Your timing stick will be returned to volunteers at the Finish Line
Who receives awards?
The top 3 male and female finishers for each age group will receive an award.
How will I get my results?
Following the event, race results will be posted on our race roster site and Facebook page.
