Wear Red Canada Movement Challenge
JOIN US! We are welcoming anyone and everyone who would like to get active and raise awareness for women’s heart health.
When: Between February 13 and 28, 2025
What: Choose your favorite physical activity and support women's heart health!
Your Challenge, Your Way: Choose one of the four sub events:
- Distance Options: 5 km or 10 km*
- Time Options: 30 minutes or 60 minutes of movement*
Where: Anywhere you like! Whether it’s outdoors, indoors, at the gym, in the pool, or in your living room - every step or stretch counts!
Choose your physical activity: Find what feels best for you. Some ideas include: running, walking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, yoga, or even dancing!
Tip: You don’t have to complete it all at once. Track your progress and work toward a cumulative distance or time over the challenge period.
*You only need to complete the sub-events you registered for - whether it’s 5km, 10km, 30 mins, or 60 mins - ONCE during the February 13–28 challenge period. If you’d like to complete it more than once, you’re more than welcome to!
How to Participate
- Sign up as an individual or join a team. Encourage friends, family, and coworkers to participate. Create your own team or use the "View Teams" button to join an existing one. (Registration will remain open until Feb 28, 2025)
- Choose your participant kit. Select between newly designed Wear Red Canada-branded socks or a warm, fleece headband at registration.
Go Green! you can also opt out of receiving the free gift if you prefer to go green.
Be sure to register by end of January 2025 to ensure your kit arrives by February 13. Participant kits will begin shipping in January 2025.
Discounts at checkout: Carts with 3 registrants, or more, at checkout will automatically receive a 15% discount at the time of registration. Families and children are welcome!
Fundraising for Women’s Heart Health
Be a women’s heart health champion! Fundraise as an individual or as part of a team to support the Wear Red Canada campaign and help fund important programs that educate and advocate for women’s heart health in Canada.
After registering, you’ll receive a unique fundraising link to collect online donations.
Want to support without participating? Use the ‘Donate to Participant’ option to contribute to an individual or team’s efforts.
Share Your Progress
Upload your results: You can upload your results, either after each activity or all at once, using the leaderboard link sent in your registration email. (It's also ok if you don’t want to share your results!)

Why women’s heart health?
Heart disease is the number one killer of women worldwide and the leading cause of premature death in women in Canada. Globally, cardiovascular diseases affect 1 out of 3 women, yet women everywhere are Under-studied, Under-diagnosed, Under-treated, and Under-aware. It doesn’t have to be this way.
With the right information and action, it's possible to prevent heart disease or improve your chances of surviving it to lead a healthy life. Learn more about women’s heart health and take the first easy steps toward a healthier heart by arming you with information.
