FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Does a shirt come with a 5K or 1 Mile registration?
A: No. 5K and 1 Mile registrants will receive a water bottle decal (you will pick yours out the day of the event). T-shirts are sold separately and can be added on to any registration.
Q: I want to order a shirt, but it's after January 5th. Can I still get a shirt?
A: Possibly. There will be a limited number of extras available the morning of the race. If there is enough interest, we can order reprints.
Q: We're participating as a family. Do I need to register my child?
A: Any children 1st grade and older will need to register for the event.
Q: Are strollers or wagons allowed for young children?
A: Yes, strollers, wagons, roller skates/blades, and scooters are allowed, but please no bicycles.
Q: Are dogs allowed?
A: Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed.
Q: Will the race be rescheduled for inclement weather?
A: No. The Southside Stroll will go on as planned, rain or shine.
Q: Will the run be chip timed?
A: No. This is a family-friendly event that will not be chip timed.
Q: Where should we park for the Southside Stroll?
A: There is ample parking at College View High School directly off of George Bush Drive providing easy access before and after the run. The walk over is a nice warmup.
Q: When and where is packet pickup?
A: Packet pickup for bibs and t-shirts will be located at the STELC office, next to the gravel parking lot, the day of the event starting at 6am.
Q: Are running groups welcome?

Q: If running the 5K, can I also participate in the 1 Mile with my family?
A: Yes. Once you return to the finish line, you and your family can walk the 1 Mile route. Please note that the 1 Mile route is part of the 5K route.
Q: Is there a time limit?
A: The course will close at 9:30AM.
