It’s year FIVE of my Akron Marathon running for a very special angel, Melina & The Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation 💚

I started this crazy marathon journey 5 years ago for Amelia’s bestie. I wanted to find a way to contribute & this was it.  Over the last five years, I have been lucky enough to have found others willing and some who have taken a little more persuation to join me in my efforts to run (WHICH NOW INCLUDES Michelle!!!!) & raise funds for pediatric brain tumor research. I have also realized that marathoning is a tough thing that takesalot of hard work & this year I will be sticking to a half marathon (while convincing others to sign up for 26.2) 😁 

In 2021, I could have never imagined what this would become or that I would have run a marathon (or 3!!!). I have gained some amazing friendships, support, and most importantly the Edenfield family was crazy enough to have me on as part of Melina’s Foundation Board.  This is so much more than fundraising while posting all of my hot, often exhausting runs for everyone to see — it’s about making an impact, finding the funds to contribute to research and trials that will hopefully help save many other children, a population that I am dedicated to and have made a career out of helping!

Please join me yet again in this fight! Any donation helps. The MMEF helps fund some pretty big trials and your donations are a huge part of that!
