OSI-CAN is an Operational Stress Injury/Post Traumatic Stress Support Initiative established in January 2016 through a partnership between the Canadian Mental Health Association (SK) and The Royal Canadian Legion (Saskatchewan Command). Since its inception, OSI-CAN has expanded its reach to four provinces: Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia!

Our program offers a variety of services to support those dealing with operational stress injuries and post-traumatic stress. These services include Peer Support Groups facilitated by trained members with lived experience, Family Support Groups, Financial Assistance for Service Dog acquisition, Equine Therapy programs, and Indigenous Sweats led by Indigenous Knowledge Keepers. Our support groups provide a free, safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where individuals can talk openly about mental health. Importantly, no formal diagnosis or referral is required to access help from OSI-CAN.

OSI-CAN relies primarily on private donations and fundraising efforts to continue our mission of supporting those in need. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of many first responders and public safety personnel. Please consider donating to OSI-CAN to help us provide these vital services. Together, we can support the mental health and well-being of those who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe.

Donate today and be a part of the healing journey!
