Volunteer details
Volunteers Wanted
- Runner Check-in / Registration - Check-in runners, distribute bibs, race day registration
- T-Shirt Distribution - Distribute pre-ordered T-shirts to registered runners
- Parking - Direct cars in parking area
- Course Marshal - Direct runners at Turn Around on Old Mountain Rd.
- Water Stop - Set up water stop and handout cups of water
- Finish Line Refreshments - Set up and distribute post run snacks; clean up
- Runner Gear Transport to Summit - Collect runner's clothing bags and drive to the summit
- Clean Up - Help take down tables and pop-up tents
Volunteer Information
General Volunteer Information
- Volunteers should arrive by 8:00 AM at the Parking Area on Rte 47 in Hadley - Click for Map (Some volunteers can park at the Starting Line depending on their assignment)
Walk to the Starting Line (About 200 yds south on Rte 47).
Check-in at the Volunteer Table with one of the Race Directors.
You will receive a Volunteer Information Sheet explaining your assignment duties, along with your T-Shirt and Safety Vest (if needed). We can answer any questions you may have.
If you are driving to the Finish Line at the Summit or the water stop, the park gate will open at 8:00 AM.
Volunteers wishing to go to the finish after the race starts need to tell the ranger at the gate that they are a volunteer.
Note: You may want to wear boots as the grass in the field may be wet in the morning.
