The 13th annual Delaware Tech Terry Campus Chocolate 5k Run/Walk, a sweet event for the whole family, will take place on campus Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10am. Proceeds support the Terry Campus Student Emergency Fund. The entry fee is $35 through February 6, 2025 ($40 on the 2/10/2024 race day). Race-day registration opens at 8:00 a.m., and participation is limited to the first 700 registered runners and walkers.
This family-friendly event offers a 5k run on a single loop USATF-certified course, a 5k walk, a free Kiddie K for children under 10 years old. The Kiddie K starts at 9:50 a.m., followed by the 5k run/walk at 10.Following the event, everyone can warm up inside the Del-One Conference Center with an awards ceremony and homemade hot chocolate, freshly prepared chocolate ganache and decadent home-baked chocolate treats, prepared by students in the Terry Campus culinary arts program.
Registration includes an event T-shirt (guaranteed before 1/29 - limited supply 1/29 - race day), and awards presented to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters winners, the top three finishers in 5-year age groups (10 and under through 70 and over), and the top three male and female walkers. There will also be special awards for the best Valentine-themed costumes.
